4th of July and Patriotic theme Party Recipes Games and Party Ideas

Capture the Flag

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
At least 8 people
Red & Blue Bandannas (Each team should be one color and every player should have a bandanna)
An area outside that's at least 30-40 feet wide.

Patriotic Decorama!

Patriotic Decorama

INSTRUCTIONS:
Divide the players into two teams. Within the large play area, establish end lines and a line down the center. Each team should line up behind one of the end lines and place their bandanna just inside the boundary line. When someone says go, each team runs to the other team's bandannas. Any player who is tagged before they can pick up a bandanna is considered captured and must stand behind the enemy flags. If a player is successful in capturing a bandanna, they are safe from being tagged and should run it back behind their own line. Players can free their teammates by tagging them behind the enemy line. However, they cannot do this at the same time they are trying to capture a flag. It has to be a separate run. The first team to capture all the other team's flags is the winner!

Water Balloon Toss

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Small balloons
Water
As many people who want to play - the more people, the more fun!

INSTRUCTIONS:
This is a lot of fun for both kids and adults on a hot day! Fill several balloons with water. Divide players into pairs and have each player stand across from each other at least 10 to 15 feet apart. Give each team a water filled balloon. When someone says go, have each team begin to toss the balloon back and forth. The object of the game is to come out dry, however if it's a very hot day, you may prefer to lose in this game.
