Fun Activities
Chocolate Dipped Strawberries
We recommend that you use both white and
dark chocolate to make this treat especially
sweet. Begin by heating either white or
dark chocolate in a pan. The double boiler
method works best because it keeps the
chocolate from burning. Taking one strawberry
at a time, dip the fruit (with stems still
attached) into the chocolate. Dip only
half of each strawberry into the chocolate.
Lay dipped strawberries on waxed paper
to cool. Arrange the strawberries on a
fancy platter with a lace paper doily.
Repeat the above steps with the other type
of chocolate. We guarantee that your guests
will feel oh so special when eating these
delectable treats!
MINI STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKES
These are so easy the kids can make dessert!1
pkg. refrigerated biscuits
1 box frozen strawberries (I use the black
type)
1 container frozen whipped toppingRemove
strawberries from package. Either defrost
the morning of use, or use a saucepan or
microwave to do it 15 minutes before you
prepare the dessert.Place biscuits, sides
touching, on a lightly greased pan (8 inch
round if you have one). Bake 18 minutes
at 425 degrees, or until browned nicely.
Watch carefully so they don't burn.Remove
biscuits. Split in half. Put bottom of
biscuit on fancy dessert dish. Spoon on
about 1 tablespoon strawberries. Put top
biscuits on. Place 1 tablespoon strawberries,
then 1 tablespoon frozen topping on biscuit.
Enjoy!

granulated sugar for topping Grease 12
muffin cups or line with paper muffin liners. In
a large mixing bowl with an electric hand-held
mixer on high setting, cream butter and
sugar; beat in eggs, one at a time, beating
after each addition. Blend in vanilla extract. In
a separate bowl, stir together the flour,

a wooden spoon, stir flour mixture into
creamed mixture. Gradually stir in lemon

are just moistened; do not over-mix. Spoon
batter into prepared muffin pan, filling
each muffin cup about 2/3 full. Evenly
spoon sliced strawberries onto the center
of each muffin and sprinkle each with a
little granulated sugar.Bake strawberry
muffins at 350° for 18 to 20 minutes.
Cool in pan on rack for 5 minutes. Gently
turn strawberry muffins onto the rack.
Serve strawberry muffins warm.
Party Games
Strawberry. Strawberry Shortcake
This classic children's game is perfect
for any party. Gather your guests to sit
in a circle and let the birthday child
begin as the "Shortcake." He/she
walks around the circle tapping each child
on the head, saying "Strawberry" with
each tap. When he/she is ready to choose
the next person to be the Shortcake, he/she
says "Shortcake" when tapping
that person on the head. That child gets
up and chases the birthday child around
the circle. If the new Shortcake does not
tag the birthday child before he/she makes
it all the way around the circle and sits
in the open spot, then the new Shortcake
becomes "it." If the new Shortcake
tags the birthday child, then the birthday
child remains "it" for the next
round and the game continues.
Pin the Strawberry on the Shortcake
This game can be made theme-specific by
pinning any object that is relevant to
your party's theme . When it's time to
play the game, mount your poster on the
wall and place a piece of tape on the back
of each object the children will be pinning
on the poster. Before each child takes
a turn, have them close their eyes, spin
them around, and point them toward the
poster. The child who pins their object
closest to the designated spot, is the
winner! You may want to play this game
several times to give your guests more
chances to win.
Strawberry Jell-O® Eating
Contest
Make one bowl of Jell-O for each child
(plus have a few extra on hand). Line the
bowls along the ground. It's a good idea
to place a tablecloth or other protective
covering on the ground for easy clean up.
Put a character from Strawberry Shortcake's
name on each bowl; it'll make calling the
race more fun. Each player places their
hands on the ground beside their bowl and
must keep them there throughout the game.
When the command is given to start, all
the contestants begin eating their Jell-O.
The first one to clean their bowl completely,
wins. Be sure to have a camera ready to
capture the memorable moments this game
is sure to make!
